SKIN TAG REMOVAL

A skin tag looks like tiny bits of "hanging skin" and typically is found on the body where there is skin to skin friction or where your clothing rubs against the skin. These areas are typically, but no limited to, the underarms, neck, upper chest and groin area.

Skin tags are not present at birth and usually appear as we age. Usually the Dermatologist will remove skin tags for patients because they cause irritation or pose cosmetic problems. The Dermatologist removes the skin tag/s by cutting with either a blade or scissors, freezing with liquid nitrogen, or cauterization. This decision can be discussed during your consultation. Local anesthesia is usually required for the removal of larger skin tags but is typically not needed for tiny skin tags.

The cost of removing skin tags by the Dermatologist starts at $150.00.
