Psoriasis is an ongoing and recurring disorder of the skin. People with psoriasis may experience “flares”, or times when symptoms become worse. The Symptoms of psoriasis include areas of red, inflamed skin that are often covered with peeling silvery scales. These patches of skin can be itchy, painful and may bleed. Psoriasis can affect the elbows, knees, groin and genitals, arms, legs, palms and soles, scalp and face, body folds and nails.
